Domestic animals and birds can be transported only by adult passengers who need to show the veterinary health certificate. Animals and birds are only allowed to be transported in secure containers of reasonable size (cages), providing air access, the bottom of the container must be covered with absorbing material, and the door must have a secure lock. As a rule it is allowed to transport guide-dogs ( with a harness and a muzzle) of blind and deaf passengers in the cabin, as well as dogs, cats and other small animals, the weight of which (with the cage) doesn’t exceed 8 kg. The overall animal and cage weight is not included into the standard weight of free baggage transportation and is paid for as excess baggage.

You should specify all the questions concerning permission to bring in this or that species and breed of animal and the set of necessary documents in the Consulate of the country of destination. To avoid problems connected with animals’ check-in at the airport, please, specify the rules of transportation in the representative office of the airline.
