Duty Free Shops

Lenrianta ZAO is a retail operator running duty free shops at Pulkovo Airport. A Soviet-Irish joint venture, Lenrianta was founded in March 1989 by the Leningrad United Aviation Division and Ireland’s Air Rianta International. The first duty free shops were opened at Pulkovo 2 in June the same year.

Lenrianta shops and bars are popular with Pulkovo travelers. No wonder: all or most merchandize is sourced directly from manufacturers, while duty-free prices are lower than retail prices anywhere in the world. Customers can pay in Russian Rubles or any major foreign currency, either in cash or by credit card. Lenrianta’s polite, professional sales staff are very helpful and attentive to all shoppers, Russians and international travelers alike.
In 2006, all Lenrianta shops grossed an aggregate turnover of EUR 28.6 million, up 18 % from 2005.
Lenrianta duty-free shops grossed a total of EUR 24.6 m, up 21 % from 2005.
In June 2006, a new duty-free shop was opened at the international departures section of Pulkovo 1, generating a 36 % surge in sales at the Pulkovo 2 terminal.
37 % of all outbound travelers made purchases at Pulkovo duty-free shops in 2006.
