Pulkovo Airport is one of the biggest enterprises of the North-West Region by employees’ number. By 31 of December 2008 4,195 employees worked for the company. The average age of the Pulkovo Airport’s employees is – 40. The positive tendency is observed in remuneration. In 2008 the growth of the average salary was 39%. The Airport’s employees are provided with social package. Voluntary medical insurance is realized in addition to compulsory insurance.

The corporate training center was opened in 2007. The possibility of job seekers testing and staff advanced training are appeared. The corporate newspaper is published since 2007.

Different contents aimed to develop staff creativity and qualification, are organized in the Airport.

Pulkovo Airport cares about sport and leisure activity of the staff. The corporate football, ice hockey and volleyball teams regular win in different city competitions.

Results of 2008

1. 19.3 million roubles was invested in social development.

The employees were provided with:

• 200 tours and recreation vacations of total amount of 5 million roubles;
• 150 tours for children summer vacations of total amount of 2.4 million roubles;
• 200 passes to Fitness House sport club at reduced price.

To increase the service quality and to improve the working conditions the employees were provided with:

• new uniform and working clothes of total amount of 12.6 million roubles;
• foodstuff and drinking water of total amount of 5.1 million roubles;
• disinfecting materials of total amount of 0.2 million roubles.

2. According to employment convention from 2008, the job position certification was hold, health and safety system was worked out based on integrated management systems ISO 9000 and OHSAS 18001:1999.

3. 1 279 employees attended additional training courses. The professional licensing board is working permanently. 96 employees passed the attestation and raised the job category in 2008.

4. 198 employees passed the foreign language testing successfully.

In 2009 further social development and full social protection will be provided. The airport management continue personnel development, profile training and foreign languages learning, sport and leisure activities organized.
