Pulkovo for children
“Pulkovo for children” social program is being realized from 2009. The main purpose of the project is assistance in upbringing, career-guidance and organization of spare time for pupils of boarding schools, orphanages and general education institutions of St-Petersburg and Leningrad region.
Pulkovo airport is the basic ground of the project realized.
Being the key infrastructural, geographical and historical object of our region airport itself and its activity are of a great interest. On its territory we can see buildings that are of a great historical value as well modern technological constructions and equipment, aviation technology park, ornithological centre. Multifunctionality of the airdrome complex allows involving personnel of different departments and technical means for holding activities through the programme “Pulkovo for children”.
The project includes several principal directions of work with children:
- excursions at Pulkovo airport and to the Museum of civil aviation in Saint Petersburg;
- organization of sport events;
- cognitive lessons devoted to aviation and work in the branch;
- beneficent takings of the things and toys for boarding schools, orphanages;
- entertaining events in the airport.
Above 400 children took part in it during the project work. The constant partner of the project is FSUE Rossiya, Rosintern Restorants Holding JSC, Museum of civil aviation in Saint Petersburg.
