Airport Aviation Security

One of the major directions of Pulkovo Airport activity is to protect lives and health of passengers, aircraft crew, and airport staff by keeping high international standards of aviation security and Russian Air law.

The aviation security program, emergency regulation plan and information security policy were established and realized now to protect against any illegal intrusion in the Pulkovo Airport. The checkup of aircrafts, crew, personnel, passengers, luggage, mail, cargo, on board supply and in-flight catering is organized. Aviation security and access control were organized in special zones. Besides, the surveillance of aircrafts, traffic control objects, equipment, storehouses, checkpoints and other objects at the Airport is provided.

All Airport employees attend essential security trainings. Aviation security department staff has licenses and certificates of the leading specialized training centers. Every month together with Line Internal Affairs Department the Pulkovo Airport experts attend trainings on aviation security measures violation, actions when weapon, ammunition, explosive substances are found and other trainings. Pulkovo Airport Aviation Security Department cooperates with the officers of Pulkovo Airport Check Point, Pulkovo Customs, Internal Protection Department of St.Petersburg and Leningrad Region, Internal Affairs Department at Pulkovo Airport, Civil Aviation Department of Federal Security Service Directorate of St.Petersburg and Leningrad Region.
